Since optimal observational and modelling techniques for astronomers in different fields have necessarily been very different, a conscious effort to “bridge the gap” between these communities is essential, so that relevant findings are effectively disseminated.

The aims of this meeting are:

• To bridge the gap between the stellar and solar communities, and between the exoplanet and stellar communities by bringing together experts to discuss the latest results in these

fields that have relevance to one or more of the other fields.

• To provide a platform for the formation of future collaborations and dissemination channels between solar, stellar, and exoplanet research communities.

Invited Speakers and session titles:

“The Sun as a Star”: Prof. Annelies Mortier, University of Birmingham, UK

“The Sun among the stars”: Dr. Adam Kowalski, NSO, Colorado, USA

“The planets among the stars”: Dr. Heather Cegla, University of Warwick, UK
